May 26, 2016 – Mergers and acquisitions in the digital media and marketing sector has seen increased growth in the month of April. Marketers are moving to digitally led business models, leading brands to increase their investment in digital commerce. Ad tech companies have seen increased involvement in deals, one of the noteworthy deals being Telenor Group’s investment in Tapad.

M&A rates in the ad tech and martech sectors continues to perform such activity in other industry verticals. This is due to outfits with software capabilities that can help large companies react to behavioral trend in real-time are likely to prove attractive to deep-pocketed outfits across a number of verticals.
