After a successful 20+ year technology-focused investment banking career, Aaron Solganick founded Generation Equity Advisors, LLC in 2009. He later changed the firm’s name to Solganick & Co., Inc. Aaron Solganick launched the firm because of a large number of conflicts of interest within the investment banking industry as well as a general lack of industry specialization among investment bankers. He wanted to make sure his team was focused and had deep industry expertise and experience in order to complete M&A transactions for his clients.
Aaron has held leading investment banking and corporate development positions at many prominent firms including KPMG Corporate Finance, Bear Stearns, B. Riley & Co., Southwest Securities, and Perot Systems Corporation. He has advised on over 200+ transactions totaling approximately $8.6 billion of value including M&A, private equity, IPO’s, and secondary offerings of several top global technology and digital media firms. “There are many generalist M&A shops around, but not many are focused on the technology and digital media sectors we cover,” he noted. He then set out to recruit the smartest people he could find that were experienced investment bankers and M&A professionals within the software, IT services, and digital media industry sectors.
